Off To School

Not me, Stewart! 20th of August was his first day at school, and (amazingly) he liked it so much he decided he wanted to go the next day...just as well! By Friday he was an old hand at it, and was already telling fibs about homework. That and I found out from one of the other parents that during "drawing time" he got fed up and tried to wander off. Sheesh.

Oh, and not a tear from Mum as he went through the school gates on day 1.
Mainly because she went to work instead!

Hot Rods @ The Racewall

The Racewall at Cowdenbeath was a fairly miserable place to be on Saturday night for the Hot Rods & Saloons drivers, but as usual they put on some great racing.
James Jamieson Jnr won the Hot Rods Scottish Championship, from the back of the pack.

The other two Hot Rod races were won by Paul Wightman in his unique, screaming, Kawasaki powered KA.

The saloons final was more like banger racing at the end, with one unfortunate ending up on his roof bringing out the red flag with one lap to go. At the restart the three English cars were in positions 1, 2, and 3 but some "robust" moves saw that reduced to 1st and 2nd, with the English champ a dnf. Hopefully the Scottish drivers will make amends at the Worlds on the 30th August, back at Cowdie.
