Malissa

I shot Malissa's first modelling session back in July, and I'm glad to say I was paired up with her for the UK PM Group Shoot.
We started off in the studio using (unsurprisingly) studio lights; the lighting was a bit hit and miss as I forgot my meter - thank a deity for LCD screens!

Then we moved over to the window for some natural light portraits.

Later, after she finished another shoot, I captured her to help take the shots which form this image...

...and to Malissa'a credit she stuck with it while Jonathon and I faffed around getting the lighting/shadows just right.

Charlie

At some point I will do a proper shoot with Charlie, in the meantime here is a shot from the UK PM get-together. Looks like night-time? The shot was taken outside on a bright sunny afternoon...

Thanks to Richard for giving me a couple of minutes during his shoot, and to Charlie for being...well...Charlie!

Blondey

Sunday 5th October was the UK PM group shoot in Glasgow. It was a great day, and I finally got to match real people with their pseudonyms and avatars, as well as catch up with Tom, Keith and the lovely Charlie. I managed to get two shoots, a studio session with Malissa (who had a hectic morning) and an outside strobist-style shoot with Shona aka Blondey. I also managed to interrupt Richard's shoot with Charlie to grab a few shots - sorry pal!

First up is Shona, who wasn't booked for a shoot but was there to help her sister Sarah-Jane who was modelling. Turned out to be a cracking session, thankfully we managed to avoid getting run over by the traffic or getting arrested by the Police (they went into Primark instead!). Glaswegians will note that two of the shots below were taken at the junction of Queen St and Argyle St.

A very big thankyou to Shona for being so easy to work with, Tom for the two-light idea and for being a VAL along with Jim. I'd also like to thank the weather for staying uncharacteristically dry and (believe it or not) sunny.
