I'm not going into the "how" or "why", but on Tuesday most of the day was spent on the good ship SD Adamant cruising
up and down across the Clyde from Garelochhead to Greenock via Loch Long (and back). The outward journey was just a tad on the cold side, but we all stayed up top to take in the views.
After lunch at Inchgreen we headed back across the Clyde to the Gareloch; by now the sun had finally burned through some of the cloud and even at 20 knots it was almost warm. Almost...
The cranes at Clydeport, Greenock.
The SD Adamant is no slouch.
The view from the Rhu Narrows looking up the Gareloch.
At the Naval Base at Faslane, with the Shiplift dominating the foreground, and the ever-present clouds dominating the sky.
A great day out with thanks to Mr Gravill for hosting us, John & Aiden for the tour, and the crew of the SD Adamant for a safe journey.
