Merry Christmas...

...to EVERYONE! I hope Santa was good to you, as he seemed to leave rather a lot for Stewart! Top of the list, contrary to our expectations, was the Nintendo Wii. Favourite game so far is 10 Pin Bowling - and ain't too bad at it...

That's a pretty good score for anyone, never mind a 5 year old and I reckon his average is about 140. Just for the record my best is 145. Meh.

St Andrews Day Shoot - Yvonne

Fourth and final upload from the St Andrews Day shoot, and to close the series out is Yvonne Mckay. Yvonne has a wide portfolio, including appearences in/on Channel 4, Max Power, Daily Star, and Duncan Evans' "Creative Photoshop Portrait Techniques".
Anyway, I only had 5 minutes with Yvonne using one lighting set-up hence the lack of diversity.

I have used 3 very different Photoshop techniques for the finished images, but the lighting for each is exactly the same. None of the PS techniques came from Duncan's book!

St Andrews Day Shoot - Zoe

The third upload from the St Andrews Day Shoot features Zoe, a young model with a bright future in modelling ahead of her. I had met Zoe previously, but this was the first time I had actually worked with her. And hello to Pam (Zoe's Mum) who was on taxi duties. On to the images...

Thanks to Tom for being on tea-tray duties for the third images - el cheapo wind machine if you must know!

St Andrews Day Shoot - Flame

The second upload from the St Andrews Day Shoot features Flame, oddly enough not her real name! She arrived punctually - not easy when you're using the train - and once she had a couple of Jaffa Cakes sorted her make-up she was ready to go. The first shot is a subdued head-shot; well as subdued as her hair colour allows... Then onto some more creative stuff, before I got my favourite shot of the day. Flame went the extra distance to make the shot work. Well, that's my opinion!

This was my first time working with her, and I hope to work with Flame again in the very near future; definitely "A Versatile Alternative".

Make-up Junkie

A quick plug for my friend Karen, who know has her new website at www.make-upjunkie.com on-line. I have worked with Karen on a few shoots and have no hesitation recommending her to brides, models, stylists, and even photographers!

I shot the image on Karen's contact card back in January 2008, see the blog post here.

St Andrews Day Shoot - Charlie

I wrote back in October that I would do another - proper - shoot with Charlie. Well, that is yet to happen, but in the meantime here are some shots from the UKPM St Andrews Day Shoot I organised. 6 photographers, 5 models, and 1 Mum (Hi Pam!) turned out and made the day a success - thanks to you all.

A lovely lass, full of enthusiasm and works hard during a shoot; her good sense of fun ensures it isn't a boring experience either!

More from the shoot to follow in the next few days.
